NORMAN — Oklahoma's older basketball players have received quite a World War II history lesson over the last three years.
Two years ago, the Sooners took a preseason trip to Belgium and France that included a tour of Normandy, France, the site of the D-Day landings in June 1944.
This week, No. 6-ranked Oklahoma gets another lesson. The Sooners are at Pearl Harbor to play No. 8 Villanova in the Pearl Harbor Invitational on Monday (6 p.m., Fox Sports 1).
The Sooners were already scheduled to attend a tournament in Hawaii in late December when the network called and offered the game to OU as part of its Pearl Harbor Day remembrances.
