WICHITA, Kan. — A year ago as a freshman, Kameron McGusty had to carry the load for the Sooners for long stretches.
He had the ball in his hand plenty and had to often score in isolation.
In Oklahoma's 91-83 win over No. 3 Wichita State at Intrust Bank Arena on Saturday, McGusty finally seemed to have found a comfort level in the new-look Sooners offense where he doesn't have to do as much.
The sophomore scored a season-high 13 points, going 5 of 9 from the field and hitting 3 of 6 from behind the 3-point line.
