AMES, Iowa — The game had already been decided, but Jamuni McNeace rose for a dunk with 3:08 left, and then for another one minute later.
In Oklahoma’s 78-61 loss at Iowa State on Monday, the pair of slams were positive signs for the Sooners. Not for the sake of the scoreboard, but rather for the health of McNeace’s right ankle.
“I feel like I haven’t dunked the ball in forever,” the 6-foot-10 center said after the game.
McNeace played 17 minutes Monday night, his most in a Big 12 game since Jan. 23.
