NORMAN — Seven hours before dropping 34 points to lead the Sacramento Kings past the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night, Buddy Hield sat courtside in Norman with a bucket of popcorn in front of him.
The schedule set up perfectly. Hield was able to catch the second half of an OU-Texas matinee before his Kings played at 7 p.m.
The former Sooner star, wearing his shades inside and sporting an OU letterman jacket, raised his hand to acknowledge the Lloyd Noble Center crowd as it chanted his name.
"That's Buddy," OU coach Lon Kruger said of Hield still donning his Sooner gear.
