NORMAN — Scott Drew was kind to Lon Kruger and the Sooners after his Baylor squad blew out Oklahoma 77-47 Monday night at Lloyd Noble Center.
“OU missed some open shots,” Drew said. “At the end of the day, as a coach, you put them in position. If they make a shot it's good offense. They miss it, it's bad offense. I just thought it wasn't their day.”
Oklahoma shot 28 percent from the field, but missed shots are but one concern for the Sooners. Lackluster defense is another.
But the combination of the two, and a 3-5 mark in conference play, has the Sooners floating dangerously on the NCAA Tournament bubble after an 11-1 start.
