Following a breakout spring, Tuttle star pitcher Bode Brooks had plenty of choices for his college destination.
It came down to Oklahoma.
Brooks, a junior, committed to the Sooners late last week, becoming the second Tuttle player to commit to an in-state Big 12 program in as many weeks. Sophomore Kade Shatwell also recently committed to Oklahoma State.
Brooks was 10-1 with a 1.01 ERA last spring. In 69 1/3 innings, he struck out 74 batters and walked just 11. He chose the Sooners over offers from Nebraska, Wichita State and Dallas Baptist among others.
