NORMAN — OU baseball received a major gift for its proposed improvements to L. Dale Mitchell Park.
Brian and Kim Kimrey made a $1.1 million gift to OU baseball for its planned stadium renovations.
The gift from the Kimrey's is the second seven-figure gift to the project, joining former OU and Major League Baseball player Bob Stephenson. This brings the total pledged to $3.6 million for the L. Dale Mitchell Park renovations, which is estimated to cost $15 million.
“We believe the best is still yet to come for Oklahoma Baseball but we must maintain our ability to recruit among the nation’s elite, which often begins with facilities and student-athlete development,” Brian Kimrey said in a statement.
