OU baseball: Sooners fall short against TCU for second consecutive day

NORMAN — Oklahoma baseball coach Skip Johnson understands that results are what matter.

But after his team fell to TCU, 6-4, on Sunday at L. Dale Mitchell Park to continue their recent rocky stretch, Johnson wasn’t down on his team’s play.

“I thought it was a great day,” Johnson said. “Just ’cause you lost don’t mean anything. Levi (Prater) goes out, he struggles in the first two innings and he wants the ball after 108 pitches. He turned it around and found his rhythm again.

“Our offense hit some balls hard in that game, kept battling, kept battling and all the sudden they give us a couple free bases and we kind of fall short at the end.
