NORMAN — Oklahoma started a four-game homestand with a 12-3 drubbing of Oral Roberts on Tuesday at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
The Sooners wasted no time getting runs on the scoreboard. Sheldon Nuese had the bases loaded in the bottom of the first when he knocked in a two-RBI single scoring Jack Flansburg and Thomas Hughes.
Two batters later, Hunter Southerland drew a bases-loaded walk to make it 3-0. Steele Walker would also score in the first on a wild pitch.
Trevor McCutchin got the start for Oral Roberts but was removed after recording just two outs.
