NORMAN — Coming off the field after the first inning Sunday, Oklahoma catcher Brady Lindsly could sense that his pitcher, Levi Prater, was a little too amped.
That’s a line that Prater constantly walks.
“I’m always too juiced,” Prater said after striking out 15 in seven innings in Oklahoma’s 6-1 series-clinching win over Missouri State at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
Prater had that feeling, too, even though he struck out two in the first inning sandwiched around hitting a batter.
“I usually spot my fastball pretty well and I came out in the first and it was just all over the shop,” Prater said.
