STILLWATER — Sophomore point guard Karli Wheeler launched the deep jump shot behind the arc midway through the third quarter and the ensuing swish gave Oklahoma State a four-point lead over its Bedlam foe.
The Cowgirls trailed by as many as 15 in the first quarter on Saturday, then limited the Sooners to just seven points in the second, and suddenly, Wheeler's 3-pointer brought more than 3,000 inside Gallagher-Iba Arena to their feet.
“We were just trying to stay level-headed,” senior guard Diana Omozee said. “It was a big play, but we also knew had to get a stop.
