It took awhile for an in-state pick to come off the board in the Major League Baseball draft, with Oklahoma State right-hander Logan Gragg the first to come off the board with the No. 245 pick overall in the eight round Tuesday by the St. Louis Cardinals.
Gragg's season continues, as the Cowboys will play at Texas Tech in a super regional beginning Friday.
The Arkansas native, who played junior college baseball at Connors State, is 3-3 with a 5.26 ERA this season with 35 strikeouts in 39 u2153 innings.
In the ninth round, the Astros picked junior right-handed reliever Peyton Battenfield.
