Oklahoma State's men’s golf team opened play at the NCAA Louisville Regional on Monday with a 6-under 278 to stand alone in second place at the University of Louisville Golf Club.
The top-ranked Cowboys finished the day two shots off the pace of Auburn, which posted a 276 at the par-71, 7,217-yard layout. Louisville and Baylor shared third place at 280, while West Virginia was fifth at 286.
Louisville produced the day’s individual leader in Matthias Schmid, who posted a 5-under 66 to stand one stroke clear of the field.
OSU’s Viktor Hovland fired a 68 to finish in a tie for sixth.
