Steven Chervony birdied on No. 18 to tie up his match-play battle with Zach Bauchou and won it on the first hole of the playoff Tuesday as No. 5 Texas survived for a 3-2 semifinal victory at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The Longhorns will face Stanford for the title early Wednesday morning.
The sixth-seeded Cardinal defeated No. 2 Vanderbilt 3-2.
