NORMAN — Lindy Waters, his coach says, brings peace to the Oklahoma State lineup.
Experience, ball-handling and his overall calm nature contribute to that.
But with Waters getting tagged with three fouls in the first six minutes and spending the rest of the first half on the bench, Oklahoma State was in a state of unrest for large parts of Saturday's 74-64 loss to No. 23 Oklahoma at Lloyd Noble Center.
“Not having him on the court is a blow to us,” OSU coach Mike Boynton said.
The Cowboys piled up 25 fouls among eight players in the game, but the early foul issues for Waters and Isaac Likekele — two of OSU's three starting guards — zapped the offensive flow in the early part of the season's first Beldam meeting.
