Though they didn't hear their names called during last week's WNBA Draft, Oklahoma women's basketball alums Gabbi Ortiz and Vionise Pierre-Louis are heading to training camp.
Ortiz signed a training camp deal with the Los Angeles Sparks, while Pierre-Louis is heading to camp with the defending WNBA Champion Minnesota Lynx.
“I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to go to Los Angeles,” Ortiz said in a release. “I’m excited to get to work and learn as much as I can from some of the best players in the world.”
Ortiz, who started 120 games for OU, ranks third in school history in attempted and made 3-point field goals.
