After playing cornerback exclusively for most of his first two seasons at Oklahoma, sophomore Tre Norwood is going to end this one at safety.
Norwood moved from corner before the Big 12 Championship Game after the Sooners' depth at safety thinned out.
“It was fun,” Norwood said Thursday at the Orange Bowl Media Day leading up to Saturday's game against Alabama. “I'm always going to do what's best for the team. It's a new position but it's not new. I'm still playing defensive back.”
Norwood said he took pride in knowing all of the positions in the secondary even before he shifted to safety.
