Oklahoma's Trey Sermon injures leg in Sooners' spring game

NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma running back Trey Sermon went down with a leg injury Saturday during the first quarter of the Sooners' spring game.

Sermon was injured on a tackle by safety Patrick Fields and was helped off the field after the 11-yard run.

Sermon rushed for 744 yards and five touchdowns and caught 16 passes for 139 yards and two more scores as a freshman this past season. He's part of perhaps the team's deepest position. Rodney Anderson is the team's top returning rusher.

The Sooners dress in full pads and tackle during their spring game.
