Oklahoma softball pitcher Paige Parker is one of two Big 12 Sportsperson of the Year honorees, the conference announced Tuesday.
Kansas State football player Dalton Risner is the other.
The Sportsperson of the Year Awards "recognize student-athletes who displayed an extraordinary degree of sportsmanship, community service and academic achievement." Winners for the awards, which began in 2000-01, are selected by a media panel.
Parker helped the Sooners to two national championship during her career, earning the Most Outstanding Player in the 2016 Women's College World Series.
