Oklahoma's Lincoln Riley says there's 'no way' Georgia would be a top-5 defense nationally if it played in Big 12

Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley had some spicy comments regarding the Georgia defense Tuesday when he made an appearance on ESPNU on Sirius XM with Danny Kanell and Taylor Zarzour.

On the show, Riley said that there was "no way" Kirby Smart's Bulldogs would be a top 5 defensive team if they played against Big 12 competition week in and week out.

From OU head coach Lincoln Riley just now on @ESPNUonSiriusXM talking with me and @TaylorZarzour about how difficult it is to play defense in the Big 12:

"If you throw Georgia in the Big 12 every year there is no way they are a Top 5 defense in the country"— Danny Kanell (@dannykanell) July 3, 2018

As expected, Georgia and SEC supporters immediately took to Twitter to express their disgust with Riley's comments:

Kirby probably hasn’t thought about Oklahoma since about January 2nd but I am glad Lincoln Riley still has Georgia on his mind.
