Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon publicly apologized for punching a woman, fellow student Amelia Molitor, in a Norman restaurant in 2014 during a press conference Friday. It was the first time Mixon had spoken about the incident with reporters.
"I'm here to basically apologize to Miss Molitor," Mixon said. "I apologize to Coach [Bob] Stoops. I apologize to President [David] Boren, the AD [Joe Castiglione], my teammates and most of all my family. I let a lot of people down."
After an argument that began outside Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe and continued inside, Molitor shoved Mixon before his closed fist connected with her face.
