NORMAN, Okla. — There's no denying that Oklahoma's defense struggled to get off the field on Saturday night. Army controlled the ball for nearly 45 of the 60 minutes and converted over 61 percent of its third down attempts.
Still, it was far from the most disappointing performances in recent memory. It wasn't the most embarrassing or the most stressful, either.
But it might have been the most painful.
“A lot of football games beat up on your body, but I usually don’t feel it until Sunday morning when I get up,” said senior linebacker Curtis Bolton, who finished with 23 total tackles.
