According to ESPN, Oklahoma WR Dede Westbrook is the best player in college football at the moment, topping Louisville QB and Heisman front-runner Lamar Jackson.
Previously ranked No. 9 on ESPN's list of the 50 best college football players, Westbrook rose to No. 1 after his eight-game tear of 53 catches for 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns.
On Westbrook, ESPN's Mitch Sherman said: "His emergence helped transform the OU offense after a slow start. The 6-foot senior leads the Power 5 in receiving yards per game, and his 11 touchdowns of 40 yards or longer rate as the most by a single player since 1998.
