Oklahoma women's basketball: Sooners complete comeback, beat West Virginia

NORMAN — Despite trailing by as much as 16 points, the No. 21-ranked Oklahoma women's basketball team outworked No. 24 West Virginia in the second half for a wild 57-54 victory Wednesday night in Lloyd Noble Center.

With versatile forward Maddie Manning having to sit out with a sprained foot, the Sooners (14-5, 5-3 Big 12) struggled to get into an offensive rhythm against the Mountaineers for a majority of the first half. At halftime, OU was shooting just 32 percent from the floor.

The Sooners then opened the second half with a 14-4 run sparked by two steals from Gioya Carter within the first minute.
