With less than two weeks remaining until their respective season openers, two of college football’s power programs have named their starting quarterbacks for the 2015 season.
At Oklahoma, the Sooners went out on a limb and did not give the starting job to returning quarterback Trevor Knight. Instead, they selected someone who transferred from another Big XII school:

Mayfield arrived in Norman after spending time playing for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, before transferring after the 2013 season.
