Oklahoma State soccer Q&A: Coach Colin Carmichael previews Bedlam and the upcoming season

STILLWATER — With just one regular-season game under its belt, the Oklahoma State women's soccer team is jumping right into one of its biggest matches of the year on Friday.

Bedlam soccer in August? You bet.

“The early-season Bedlam game, there's good and bad about it,” OSU coach Colin Carmichael said. “The pros are, it's a big game and the kids are excited on both sides. There will be a huge crowd for women's soccer, 2,000 or 1,800 people, and more media interest in the program.

“The negatives are for both the coaching staffs ... we have to play basically the second or third game of the season, you're not quite ready for a Big 12 game yet.
