Oklahoma State Cowboys Drop Oklahoma Sooners 5-1

Throughout the course of the season, the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys squared multiple times before the Big 12 Tournament. Saying these two were familiar with one another may be an understatement. Owning 3-1 record over their in-state foe during the regular season, the Cowboys entered as the favorite in Tulsa. Thanks to solid pitching and a few big hits, Oklahoma State downed the Sooners yet again 5-1 securing a spot in the championship game.

Facing Corey Copping, the Cowboys took a 2-0 lead in the second inning off a single hit. By the time the eighth inning rolled around, Oklahoma State recorded just three hits but held a 3-1 lead.
