When Michael Freeman is on the mound for Oklahoma State, infielders have to stay alert.
Freeman got 15 ground ball outs in the Cowboys’ 10-1 win over Kansas State on Thursday night in the Big 12 Baseball Tournament.
Plenty of them were far from routine, with second baseman Tim Arakawa cutting off several potential hits into right field and turning them into outs.
Arakawa alone handled seven ground ball his way.
“That’s just what Tim does every day,” Freeman said. “It’s just easy to pitch whenever you’ve got guys like that in the infield and guys like Gage (Green) and Bryan (Case) behind the plate.
