TULSA — Baseball bats were mostly ineffective against Oklahoma State ace Michael Freeman on Thursday against Kansas State in the Big 12 Tournament.
“Nine iron would’ve been good,” Wildcats coach Brad Hill said on how to combat Freeman. “Couldn’t get it in the air. Just beat it into the ground, beat it into the ground and it’s really tough.
“I don’t know if we got three balls in the air all night long.”
The Wildcats did, but barely.
Freeman was superb, going the distance and helping the Cowboys come out with a 10-1 win in front of 5,319 at ONEOK Field.
