On Wednesday evening, the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners (55-4) beat the 10-seeded Florida State Seminoles (49-12-1), 6-2 in Game 2 of the 2021 Women’s College World Series national championship series. With the win, OU forces a winner-take-all Game 3 on Thursday.
Redshirt senior Giselle ‘G’ Juarez got the start in the circle for the Sooners on Wednesday, and in 7.0 innings, the righty looked strong once again as she gave up just four hits while striking out six FSU batters on 106 total pitches.
In the bottom of the first inning, Florida State senior Elizabeth Mason recorded a two-run homer to center to put the Seminoles on top of Oklahoma, 2-0.
