Seemingly out of the blue, the Oklahoma Sooners and Lincoln Riley gained a commitment from Brian Darby, an athlete from College Station, Texas. Darby, right under the nose of Texas A&M, gave the Sooners his pledge while having the Wildcats — both Arizona and Kansas State — hot on the recruiting trail.
Darby is a three-star prospect who stands at 6’0”, 192lbs and seemingly does everything for his school (A&M Consolidated) except play quarterback. It’s unclear where Darby will fit in with the Sooners— he mostly plays wide receiver (his preferred offensive position), but he also lines up at running back.
