The Oklahoma Sooners are putting together a potentially elite offensive recruiting class in the 2019 cycle, but things are starting to look pretty rosy on the defensive side, as well. Kerry Cooks has gone into SEC country and secured a commitment from four-star cornerback Woodi Washington, who has chosen OU over Ohio State and others.
Washington, who is a standout at Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., is listed as the No. 182 overall player and No. 20 CB according to the 247Composite Rankings. He has a chance to be the second OU signee from the Volunteer State in as many years, as OU was able to sign Memphis ATH/WR Kundarrius Taylor in the 2018 cycle.
