Oklahoma Sooners Football: OU LB Curtis Bolton to miss rest of season with ankle injury

Related Topics: Redshirt

Lincoln Riley was the bearer of bad news on Monday, as the head coach coach of the Oklahoma Sooners announced that redshirt junior linebacker Curtis Bolton is out for the season. Bolton suffered an ankle injury against Baylor on Sept. 23.

Bolton, who came to OU as a three-star recruit out of Murrieta, Calif., recorded five tackles in Oklahoma’s first four games. After redshirting in 2014, he’s recorded 16 total tackles (many on special teams) and a tackle for loss.

This is some very disappointing news, as Bolton was finally playing a key role after paying his dues for a few years.
