The head coaching job at Oklahoma is widely considered one of the top gigs in all of football, regardless of level. Lincoln Riley, at only 35 years old, has an opportunity to cement his legacy among the coaching greats if he stands pat and continues to build on what he’s already setting in motion. Because of this, Mac Engel of the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram argues that Riley would be “crazy” to leave Norman.
If he ever wakes up with that itch in the future, the NFL will always be there and there will likely be a job available with the amount of yearly turnover in the league.
