Donning a new number (26) in a new uniform, the indomitable Adrian Peterson, once again, made history during opening weekend of the 2018 NFL regular season. The former Oklahoma Sooners star finished his Washington debut with 26 carries for 96 yards and a touchdown and added another 70 on two receptions. With fellow Sooner Samaje Perine injured and rookie Derrius Guice out for the year, the seasoned veteran Peterson is taking advantage of the opportunities available in the injury-laden Washington backfield.
AD is now 10th all-time in the NFL rushing charts, passing Jim Brown on Sunday, and his 100th career touchdown vaults him to seventh in the history books.
