The Sporting News All-America teams were released this morning. For the Oklahoma Sooners, Ben Powers made the first team offense and Kyler Murray made the second team.
With Powers making the first team for the WCFF, the FWAA and now Sporting News, he is officially a Consensus All-American! That gives OU a total of 80 Consensus All-Americans in the modern era, a mark that leads the nation. Murray still needs to be named an AFCA First-Team All-American to gain the distinction of being a Consensus All-American.
