How’s it going, everyone?
As you’re probably well aware of by now, Kenneth Murray’s 28-tackle performance broke the Oklahoma Sooners’ program record for most tackles in a game last Saturday against Army West Point. So who exactly held the record before?
That would be Carl McAdams. As a senior in 1965, he recorded 24 tackles against Navy. It’s quite amazing that it took so long for the record to be reset (considering that OU has faced some similar offenses between now and then), but what’s even more amazing is the fact that McAdams didn’t even realize he owned the record until Murray broke it.
