Oklahoma Sooners Football: Former Oklahoma RB Abdul Adams transfers to Syracuse

After an up-and-down sophomore campaign, former Oklahoma Sooners running back Abdul Adams has transferred to Syracuse, where he is enrolled in classes.

Adams rushed for 542 yards and a touchdown on 59 attempts as a sophomore in 2017. The Landover, MD native also added five receptions for 80 yards and a TD last season. Adams earned the start in Oklahoma’s first game, but he was never able to consistently hold the position due to concerns with ball security. After being surpassed by Rodney Anderson and Trey Sermon, this move definitely makes sense for Adams.
