No. 1-seeded Oklahoma literally seized victory from the jaws of defeat, scoring three runs with two out in the seventh inning to tie the game against Clemson before winning it in the ninth on a home run by Tiare Jenning, giving the Sooners an 8-7 series-clinching victory in the Norman Super Regional on Saturday.
Clemson led in the game 7-4 after scoring seven unanswered runs in the fourth and fifth innings combined to erase a 4-0 Oklahoma advantage. The Sooners led off the game with back-to-back home runs from Jayda Coleman and Jennings, two of five fence-clearing blasts by the high-octane OU lineup.
