Junior right-handed starter Shannon Saile pitched a complete-game, four-hitter as the No. 1-ranked Sooners extended the nation’s longest active win streak to 31 games, matching the longest winning streak in OU softball history (achieved in 2016). Saile picked up her ninth win of the season to go with one loss.
Oklahoma (41-2, 12-0) took a 2-1 lead in the second inning after freshman Grace Green followed a single by Jocelyn Alo with a two-run bomb, her 13th of the season. Alo added a three-run blast of her own in the fifth, her eighth of the 2019 campaign, and the Sooners put the game away for good with a four-run seventh inning.
