The third-ranked Sooners were less than gracious visitors to four Los Angeles area teams, plus Illinois out of the Big Ten, posting three shutouts, including a no-hitter, and outscoring their five opponents 58-2. OU was one of five teams taking part in a three-day West Coast tournament hosted by UC Santa Barbara and Loyola Marymount.
Junior left-handed starter Giselle Juarez was credited with two of the five Oklahoma wins, blanking Loyola Marymount 14-0 with a no-hit, complete game performance in one of two games on Thursday, and came back on Saturday, going six innings and striking out 12 in an 11-1 victory over Illinois.
