The Sooners extended their NCAA record consecutive win streak this season to 41 games with a 4-0 shutout over Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon. Sooner ace Giselle Juarez pitched the complete-game shutout, gaining her 24th win of the season without a loss.
The only thing that kept Juarez from pitching a perfect game was allowing two Wisconsin batters to reach first base. The transfer from Arizona State hit a batter in the second inning and issued a walk in the sixth.
The shutout was Oklahoma’s 25th of the season and improved the Sooners’ season record to a nation-best 51-2.
