Oklahoma’s Mariah Lopez has been named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
The junior right-hander went 2-0 in the Sooners’ opening weekend at the Grand Canyon University Kickoff Tournament in Phoenix.
Lopez tossed a pair of one-hitters in starts against Syracuse on Friday and Charlotte on Saturday.
OU pitcher Fink to miss season with arm injury
Oklahoma pitcher Braidyn Fink will miss the 2019 season with an arm injury.
The junior left-hander posted a 1.71 ERA in 28 relief appearances last season. Fink, a former Westmoore standout, will have two years of eligibility remaining when he returns.
