NORMAN — Austin Jackson seemed like a longshot to get much playing time after joining Oklahoma as a graduate transfer from Clemson not long before the season began.
Now, Jackson has stepped away from football. He announced his decision on Twitter.
Today I announce my retirement from football. Came to decision through thought & prayer. Thanks Coach Riley & Grinch for allowing me on the field one last time. I’ve been blessed to meet some amazing people & play for great coaches as well @ETSUFootball@ClemsonFB@OU_Footballpic.twitter.com/AWzJWKaQbC
