Oklahoma S Will Sunderland has been suspended indefinitely, coach Lincoln Riley announced Monday in a news release.
Sunderland was charged with misdemeanor concealing stolen property by Oklahoma City police June 13 and a warrant for his arrest was issued two days later, accompanied by a $2,000 bond. According to court records, the date of Sunderland's offense was March 15.
Sunderland played in eight games in 2016, recording 15 tackles as a sophomore and an interception against Texas, when he provided injury relief for S Ahmad Thomas.
Sunderland is Oklahoma's fourth player arrested this offseason. Early-enrollee QB Chris Robison and reserve DB Ronnie LaRue were arrested April 9 in Norman for public intoxication while star QB Baker Mayfield was arrested Feb.
