Not wanting to be lumped into the likes of Jameis Winston and Johnny Manziel -- college QBs infamous for their off-the-field issues -- Baker Mayfield told reporters Tuesday his Feb. 25 arrest in Fayetteville, Ark., is not indicative of a "character flaw whatsoever."
Mayfield was chased down and tackled by a Fayetteville police officer before being charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and fleeing. The police report said Mayfield had difficulty speaking, walking down stairs and food covering the front of his shirt while interacting with officers.
What's worse is the entire incident was caught on two separate police dash cams -- one capturing the brutal tackle and the other Mayfield breaking down in tears -- and released to the public March 10.
