Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield was arrested early Saturday morning in Fayetteville, Ark., on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, fleeing and resisting arrest.
Mayfield was booked into jail at 8:21 a.m. He faces an April 7 court date on the public intoxication charge, according to the Washington County sheriff's office.
"We are aware of the matter and learning the details. We don't have any other information at this time," OU said in a statement.
Mayfield announced in December he would return for his senior season in 2017. Through two years in Norman, he has 7,665 yards passing for 76 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
