Oklahoma picks up commitment from four-star defensive end

Oklahoma got some good recruiting news early Friday morning, when Wichita (Kansas) Northwest defensive end Marcus Hicks announced his commitment on Twitter.

According to Rivals, the 6-foot-6, 230-pound Hicks is the No. 1 player in Kansas and the No. 214 player nationally in the 2019 class.

He chose the Sooners over a group of finalists that included Oklahoma State, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame.

Hicks is the 13th commitment of the 2019 class for Oklahoma, and the third defensive end.

He joins Washington, DC product Joseph Wete and Manvel, Texas' Kori Roberson at the position.
