The No. 9-ranked Sooners, who finished fourth in last season’s NCAA Men’s Championship, defeated second-place Wake Forest by five strokes to win the Nike Invitational Tournament for the second time in three years. Oklahoma shot a team score of 29-under-par 823 over the two-day, 54-hole tournament played at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, a par-71, 7,109-yard layout.
Clemson took third place with a 54-hole score of 17-under 835. Oklahoma State was fourth at 840 and Texas, the 2019 NCAA Championship runner-up, and Vanderbilt finished tied for fifth at nine-under 843.
In addition to taking top team honors, Oklahoma also took home individual medalist honors with sophomore Logan McAllister firing a 54-hole score of 11-under-par 202.
