The Sooners shot 12-over par 300 in the final round of stroke play in the NCAA Championship at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Monday. That earned Oklahoma, the No. 6 overall seed in the championship, a tie for fourth place and a spot in the match-play portion of the championship, beginning on Tuesday.
Oklahoma is advancing to the match-play quarterfinal round for the fourth consecutive season, the only team to do so in each of the last four years. OU seniors Blaine Hale and Brad Dalke are the first players in NCAA history to reach the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Golf Championship in four consecutive seasons.
